This adorable baby snake was already practicing its "fear me, I am ferocious" position though it couldn't have been more than 8 inches long. Also, it hadn't yet learned that striking repeatedly makes a snake seem more scary; it just held this semi-coiled position stiffly.

This adult mostly just coiled up also. Maybe this species is all about the bluff.
