Euphlyctis hexadactylus
—
Indian Five-fingered Frog
Also known as:
Green Pond Frog, Indian Green Frog, Six-toe Green Frog

These frogs were floating in a pond formed by rainwater in a large depression in a rocky, cave-y area. The first one pictured here is a youngster; the second one is a big adult. I'm not sure if the big frog is aware of the nearby frog-eating snake.
The specific name of this frog means "six digits", but the common English name is "five-fingered". However, it' also sometimes called "six-toed". However, I haven't found any actual evidence that it has a different number of fingers or toes than other related frogs, and the pictures I took as well as the pictures I see online all show at most four fingers and toes. I can imagine there's an extra little stumpy one somewhere not visible at normal photo angles, but two?
