Gonocephalus bellii
—
Bell’s Angle-headed Lizard
Also known as:
Bell’s Forest Dragon, Bell’s Anglehead Lizard

My eagle-eyed friend Kurt "Orion" G spotted one of these charming fellows sleeping in vegetation at night. I got a few photos there, and then moved the lizard to an adjacent tree for a less obstructed view.
A few minutes later I spotted another, which as you can see was particularly grumpy.
My Travelogues and Trip Lists page includes a complete list of the herps I saw in the wild on this trip to Malaysia, as well as a travelogue of the trip.
