Grillitschia longipes
—
Slender-legged Horned Frog
Also known as:
Long-legged Horned Frog, Malacca Spadefoot Toad, Red-legged Spine-eyed Frog, Red-legged Horned Frog
This species was previously placed in genus Xenophrys.

My guide Kurt "Orion" G spotted this most excellent frog via its eyeshine, but was mildly disappointed that it was this species and not its more famous relative the Malayan Horned Frog. Just a few minutes later we found the second one.
My Travelogues and Trip Lists page includes a complete list of the herps I saw in the wild on this trip to Malaysia, as well as a travelogue of the trip.
