Litoria rothii
—
Roth’s Treefrog
Also known as:
Rust-eyed Treefrog, Cackle Frog, Laughing Treefrog, Northern Laughing Treefrog

Litoria rothii is at first glance your standard-looking medium-sized treefrog, but they have bright yellow and black patches hidden behind their legs. You can see a glimpse of these in the middle photo above.
Ive written up an account of this three-week trip to Australia here.

As we headed out of Eden on a drizzly evening for a repeat visit to Fogg Dam, we passed several of these frogs huddled up in the corners of the patio roof.

These frogs are clearly comfortable around buildings. This one was lurking on a fence railing just outside of our room at the Batchelor Butterfly Farm.
