The last time I visited Anja, in 2007, we only stayed for one day hike, so I had no chance to see these nocturnal geckos. Also, this population was unknown at the time, I guess because nobody else was looking at night either. The species was described in 2014 and I was looking forward to trying to see them on this trip. I needn't have worried too much about it, as they were plentiful.
