This is a handsome, medium-sized, terrestrial species that we frequently saw in ambush position, awaiting passing bugs. It seems that some of the passing bugs would stop for a while to borrow a little blood.

By my second night in Mulu, I had seen so many of these that each one would be a mild disappointment. More frog variety, please! But I did see lots of other types of frogs at Mulu also, so I really shouldn't complain.
